Blessings

Last night was a beautiful night to be out at the park.

Brynn with her crazy static hair from going down the slide.

Clara doing tummy time...buns up.

Big sister helping.

Talking to each other.

I love the way Brynn looks at her.

My BFF came over with Clara's BFF to visit on Saturday. It was so good to spend time with her and see her sweet baby. We plan to get together next week again, so hopefully we'll get some pics of the babies together.

Here is Clara in her Sunday best. Today was the first time she has gone to church. Dana did sound tech for the Sunday School skit and Brynn was in Sunday School class, of course, so it was just Clara and me in the service today. She just snuggled and slept the whole time. It was communion today and I was excited to take her up with me so she could receive a blessing from the pastor while I received my communion. He did touch her head and bless her and offered his congratulations. We then made our way to the end where a girl I know from Sunday School was holding the basket for the empty wine cups. She sweetly said, "God loves both of you." ;-) Love it!.

She has really filled out again it the last week and is getting some squeezy cheeks and thighs!

Brynn made Play-doh dresses for her miniature princess dolls.

This one was especially detailed with the one-shoulder strap, polka dot top and a slit.

Daddy and Brynn tried to see if Clara's feet were ticklish yet. They are.

Um, how old is she? Oof.
Brynn's high school senior pic, class of '78. Just kidding. Her 'pose' reminded me of that time. Anyway, she said 'it's just like Facebook." hmm, ok? Not sure what that meant.

Tara, I love checking your blog and watching your girls grow up. They sure don't stay small for very long. Brynn is such a great big sister! Treasure each and every day!

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Fourth of July 2025

We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family.  We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though. I made a new recipe for dessert: red, white and blue c...

Reagan Graduation + MDW + Tennis

This past weekend our oldest niece, Reagan, graduated high school. She will be attending UND for nursing in the fall. We're so proud of you and love you so much, Reagan!   Cousin Cayden had his Italian soda bar set up at the party which was super fun and a big hit. She opened a few gifts the night before her commencement. Reagan is the third generation to graduate from Harvey High as my mom and her dad, Chad also attended there. This was such a fun gift idea that Tessa put together from her and Chad. We got back home Sunday evening and between the four of us doing different things, spent most of Memorial Day outside. It was such beautiful weather. Brynn and I played tennis and Dana and Clara replaced some shrubs and did yardwork. The tennis season has wrapped up for Brynn now. She's sad to not be playing anymore, but still gets some court time between playing with friends and sometimes Clara and/or me. We're so proud of her and glad she played again this year. I had taken s...
