Clara's Baptism

This past Sunday Clara Rae was baptized at our church, Hope Lutheran. It was such a special day for our family. Clara wore the gown that I wore (and Brynn) when I was baptized. We were so grateful for those who were able to come and celebrate Clara's special day. Clara did really well for the baptism and only seemed surprised when the pastor put the water over her head.

Centennial Fall Festival

Before I get to the Fall Festival, this is what was in my bathtub last night....a sea creature. I was laughing so hard at those goggles I am surprised there were some pictures that weren't blurry. Wiping them off The double nose plug maneuver. Didn't matter anyway. She got down with her face to the water and exclaimed with her hands going up in the air, "oh! I can't do it!"  The Centennial Elementary School Fall Festival was tonight. Since it was such a nice day outside, Brynn and I walked over to the school. They served pizza and hot dogs, had Bingo, a costume contest and a dance. Brynn met up with Lily and Rosha and some of her other school friends. The school and PTA did a good job and it was a fun night for the kids. It was so fun to see all the costumes. There were some really creative ones. It was a little chilly walking back home again, but we figured we would call Dad for a ride if we got too cold. Announcing the costume c

Faces

This week started out better than last week as far as Clara going to daycare. Even so, I still wanted to take a couple of days off of work this week to spend with her at home and prepare for her baptism which is this coming Sunday. We had such a nice time together; I cherished every minute. She is so much fun. She laughed this morning which was about the best sound ever. She loves sitting in her swing and looking at the fish mobile above her. She's either talking to them or smiling at them..that it until she falls asleep while we're eating supper most nights. I had my camera ready yesterday afternoon for all the funny faces she was making. Love this face! Cheese! Talking to the fish. It looks like she's crying, but she was squealing at the fish. Ha. Since Clara was born, I thought that she and Brynn looked so much alike. Since then I've been trying to think of the one picture that captured their likeness the

More Halloween Prep

Well, Mom made it the first week through Clara being at daycare, but just barely. It was a very difficult week for me. Clara did pretty well, but is still adjusting to a different schedule. The caretakers are super nice there and have been giving her lots of cuddles. Hopefully things will be better this week as I attempt to get more into the swing of our new routine. I just miss her so much when I had been used to being together with her all the time.  I was pretty excited when Friday rolled around and we didn't have any plans but to hang out at home all weekend. I picked up Pizza Ranch on my way home from work and I got some good baby snuggles in and we all played a game of Uno. Clara played Uno too. Brynn is really excited for Halloween coming up (me too!) and has been busy adding some festive decorations around the house. I love this bat and ghost. Clara's new, better-fitting costume arrived this weekend. So now we have Brynn the bat and Clara t
