Ready for Halloween

I could not resist this outfit, especially those booties.

Daddy was gone for the last part of last week through the weekend hunting up north with Grandpa Kevin. So, Grandma came up to stay and worked on crafting Brynn's Halloween costume. It turned out great! She promises we'll do the Halloween preview photo shoot this year, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up, just in case. :-)

Silly. Brynn had fun with the leftover pieces of felt.

Encouraging words from Brynn.

They drank the Kool-Aid

Auntie Tessa also was up for a short time this past weekend and brought Brynn these awesome sparkly paints. I'm not sure if Brynn has much paint left after the weekend. Thanks, auntie!

Friday is my last day of working from home which means Clara starts daycare on Monday, and I'm back to the office. It is really hard for me thinking of Monday coming. I'm sure she'll do great at daycare; I had just gotten so used to and so comfortable with our nice little routine here at home. Plus, that means I will have to start wearing real clothes (versus my sweats) again. Bummer!

"What's this? My hand!"

"Oh, and it's edible!"

Smiles. She was kinda drooly today, which was weird.

Aw, haha love the pic of her staring at her hand :) It's so funny when they start to notice those things. Wowza, looks like Brynn got her use out of the paints! I'm glad.

Great bat costume (awesome work Holly!). Miss our girls - such cute pics Tara. I'll be thinking of you on Monday but I know she's going to be in good hands at Hope Kids.

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Easter + April Birthdays

The girls had Thursday, Friday and Monday off from school for the Easter break. So, Dana and I took most of the same time off (work) to match.  Always reading. 💜 Hanging out with Brynn. 💗 Dana and I went on a Costco date. We tried our hand at homemade ravioli again. I think it went a bit more smoothly compared to last time. Hubert's sister Abby stopped by for a visit. We hadn't seen her in a long time and so it was fun to have her We celebrated Dana's birthday and kicked it off with some Sandy's donuts. I don't recall what was so funny. haha. Clara's card. Birthday King Clara dyed eggs. I baked a birthday cake for Dana, messed it up getting it out of the pans, and Clara somehow cobbled it together into a masterpiece. Dana chose Lucky 13's for dinner out. On Saturday we packed up to hit up Oliver's birthday party before we went on to Dead Lake for Easter. Oliver is 9! Fourth of July 2025

We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family.  We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though. I made a new recipe for dessert: red, white and blue c...
