Hope Fest, etc

Brynn has started learning keyboarding in school and the teacher gave the students a link where they can go online and practice their skills.

Clara usually drinks the remaining milk from her cereal bowl when she's done with the cereal. And she loves syrup, so here she was drinking her syrup. No wonder she's so sweet. :-/ She drank the rest of the green bean juice when the beans were all gone out of the bowl the other day. Ewww.

Rosha came over to play last Saturday. I had found these big sidewalk chalk paint Crayons. They were pretty messy and didn't work really great, but the girls did seem to get a kick out of them,  I guess.



 I have been getting a kick out of the daycare care sheet notations lately. They write if your child has mostly had a green, yellow or red day. Green is they were happy all day, no issues, not sad, they listened, etc. Yellow represents minor issues like the child was sad/anxious/mad, had some listening issues, things like that. Clara has then received red when she has bitten the other daycare children. Anyway, so whenever I see 'yellow' written on her sheet, I always inquire as to what it had been for. Usually it's just that she had gotten a bit emotional in the morning and then after her nap, she is all happy again. But lately they've also been writing "just being Clara." This apparently means that she was just being her stubborn self, wanting to do her own thing. Like the other day she refused to sit down for one of the group activities they were doing together. She apparently is on her own agenda. Haha.


Last Sunday was our church's kick-off event for the year, Hope Fest. It had been quite a few years since the last time we had been there. So, the girls and I headed over for a bit as Brynn said she'd like to go and it was so nice out.

This past Tuesday Grandpa and Grandma Froemming were in town for some appointments and errands and surprised the girls by picking them up early at Hope. They walked with the wagon and made a stop at the park on the way home.

Great pics! I've never thought of having them practice keyboarding online, that's a neat idea.

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Easter + April Birthdays

 The girls had Thursday, Friday and Monday off from school for the Easter break. So, Dana and I took most of the same time off (work) to match.  Always reading. 💜 Hanging out with Brynn. 💗 Dana and I went on a Costco date. We tried our hand at homemade ravioli again. I think it went a bit more smoothly compared to last time. Hubert's sister Abby stopped by for a visit. We hadn't seen her in a long time and so it was fun to have her We celebrated Dana's birthday and kicked it off with some Sandy's donuts. I don't recall what was so funny. haha. Clara's card. Birthday King Clara dyed eggs. I baked a birthday cake for Dana, messed it up getting it out of the pans, and Clara somehow cobbled it together into a masterpiece. Dana chose Lucky 13's for dinner out. On Saturday we packed up to hit up Oliver's birthday party before we went on to Dead Lake for Easter. Oliver is 9! Fourth of July 2025

We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family.  We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though.
