Shows, Nowruz, Outside

I don't know how I skipped posting this earlier, but a few weeks ago I went to see Jerry Seinfeld's stand-up show in Grand Forks with my sister and parents. It was a fun night with the 'core four' of us and, of course, Jerry was hilarious.

After we got back from our Minneapolis vacation, that Saturday night we attended the Persian New Year celebration, Nowruz, with Rosha and her family at the NDSU alumni center.

That same weekend we started to see the first sign of spring weather.

Brynn isn't too big for a shoulder ride from Daddy....yet.

A game of memory..

One morning this past week Clara asked Daddy if he would eat his oatmeal with her while she ate her cereal.

Super Mom

This past Friday night Dana's parents, Dana and I went to the Journey concert at the FARGODOME. I had the time of my life signing along to all the songs. They were great and it was so much fun. My camera phone didn't take the best pics.

This one was off of the Facebook page of a local radio station.

Brynn has been working hard on her book report project. She was assigned Betsy Ross. They were to design a CD cover, come up with song titles for the CD, decorate a box and include five articles that relate to the assigned person and write why you had chosen to include those things and how they relate to the person. She did a great job! She turns it in at school tomorrow.

Brynn finally has another loose tooth. She has only lost two so far (on the bottom). This time it is one of her top front teeth. She took down guesses when Grandpa and Grandma Dietz were here the other day. So far Grandma Laurie is out of the running as the tooth is still in tact tonight! Grandpa and Grandma Froemming got their guess in as well for Thursday. I'll keep ya'll posted!

I wasn't feeling well all day yesterday and spent most of it in bed. :-( Brynnie made up this nice get-well snack mixture for me. So sweet.

It was really foggy in Fargo this morning. This is on our street facing east.

I knew the fog would burn off quickly and give way to a beautifully sunny day! The girls were outside quite a bit today between school, daycare and at home.

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Easter + April Birthdays

The girls had Thursday, Friday and Monday off from school for the Easter break. So, Dana and I took most of the same time off (work) to match.  Always reading. 💜 Hanging out with Brynn. 💗 Dana and I went on a Costco date. We tried our hand at homemade ravioli again. I think it went a bit more smoothly compared to last time. Hubert's sister Abby stopped by for a visit. We hadn't seen her in a long time and so it was fun to have her We celebrated Dana's birthday and kicked it off with some Sandy's donuts. I don't recall what was so funny. haha. Clara's card. Birthday King Clara dyed eggs. I baked a birthday cake for Dana, messed it up getting it out of the pans, and Clara somehow cobbled it together into a masterpiece. Dana chose Lucky 13's for dinner out. On Saturday we packed up to hit up Oliver's birthday party before we went on to Dead Lake for Easter. Oliver is 9! Fourth of July 2025

We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family.  We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though. I made a new recipe for dessert: red, white and blue c...
