This past weekend we headed back home to Fessenden for the all-school reunion and Wells County Fair. We successfully made it back in time for a class picture before enjoying the big dinner that was provided as part of our registration.
They had a bunch of old yearbook photos out in boxes for people to dig through. Brynn was super into it, looking for old pics of auntie Tessa and me and anyone else she thought she might recognize.
She found this gem of my BFF Amanda and me.
After dinner which was in the 'new' gymnasium, as it's called, we wandered upstairs to take a look around up there and found ourselves in the library. Dana was working on a puzzle that was set up.
Clara found a book she wanted to read.
My class composite.
We went over to Grandma Darlene's house to visit for a bit before we were going to check out the entertainment at the park which was a hair band playing 80s rock music (right up Chad's and my alley!) Brynn was playing SkipBo with Grandma and Shel.
Saturday morning was the parade. Many classes chose to decorate floats which included my class. However we were the only ones representing the 90s and 00s...and actually the 80s, I think too, as I don't recall seeing any floats from any classes from that decade. We had had fun throwing candy out to our families along the parade route. I graduated with 26 in my class, so we had about half that made it to the reunion.
After the parade we regrouped at Grandma's house before heading out to the fairgrounds for the afternoon. These piggies reminded me of that "Pass the Pig" game we always used to play growing up. I think these are a "sider," right Tessa?
We found Uncle Chad on barn duty. He let the girls in Pokey's stall for a visit.
Clara was excited to ride on some rides for her size. The carnies were all in fine form this year. :-/
We were going to get out of the heat to go and rest up at Grandma's for a bit before we went over to my classmate's mom's house for our class get-together when we found out that Brynn had signed up for the pedal tractor pull. So, we stayed to watch her compete which was fun. Clara was upset that she was too young to participate.
We had a nice pot luck dinner with our families on Saturday night. Clearly I was not ready for the photo op. :-( A better photo from this shot has not surfaced yet, unfortunately, so I had to go with this one.
