Noss Family Reunion / Horse Races

A couple of Saturdays ago we ventured to Glenwood, MN for a family reunion on my mom's side. I've been to Glenwood a few times before and it is such a nice little town and quite picturesque with Lake Minnewaska right in the city.

We gathered down by the lake which was a great spot: the girls swam a bit in the lake and we had some tasty food on the grill.

We were excited to see cousin Jen again and glad she made the trip all the way from AZ.

The reunion was during Waterama so there were a lot of other activities going on in relation to that as well. After we had visited at the reunion gathering for a while, we made our way over to the park where they had inflatables, face painting and balloon animals.

The girls were getting pretty tired after the park, so we decided to get on the road to head home.

There was still enough time to get dirty outside before bedtime once we got back. :-)

On Sunday my parents and I had planned on going to the last day of the horse races in Fargo. I found myself in a group chat with my parents and Tessa to which I interjected that we wish she was able to join us at the races too and we would miss having her there with us. Turned out she was indeed on her way to Fargo to visit her friends, so it worked out that she was able to come for a few of the races with us. I didn't win big, unfortunately, but it was still fun.

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Easter + April Birthdays

The girls had Thursday, Friday and Monday off from school for the Easter break. So, Dana and I took most of the same time off (work) to match.  Always reading. 💜 Hanging out with Brynn. 💗 Dana and I went on a Costco date. We tried our hand at homemade ravioli again. I think it went a bit more smoothly compared to last time. Hubert's sister Abby stopped by for a visit. We hadn't seen her in a long time and so it was fun to have her We celebrated Dana's birthday and kicked it off with some Sandy's donuts. I don't recall what was so funny. haha. Clara's card. Birthday King Clara dyed eggs. I baked a birthday cake for Dana, messed it up getting it out of the pans, and Clara somehow cobbled it together into a masterpiece. Dana chose Lucky 13's for dinner out. On Saturday we packed up to hit up Oliver's birthday party before we went on to Dead Lake for Easter. Oliver is 9! Fourth of July 2025

We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family.  We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though. I made a new recipe for dessert: red, white and blue c...
