January to February

We stayed busy in January with some good outside time, friends, family and losing teeth!

The girls and I went out to my parents' lake for a visit and Grandpa did some sledding with us.

Clara getting ready for church. 💚

Out for a walk. Clara likes to climb on all the boulevard snow piles.

Clara's class took a field trip to the Plains Art Museum. They got to make clay cupcakes.

Brynn is really enjoying her graphic design class that she started in this new semester at school. This was the first thing she made. So cute!

Guess who?

Clara finally lost her front tooth that had been hanging on for dear life for what seemed like forever.

The tooth fairy brought her $2.25.

Vesties besties!

Clara played over at Adria's house last Saturday and then Adria came over to play on Sunday.

Clara had two of this same headband so they could be twinning.

Brynn switched over to digital art for our prayer journaling. So beautiful.

Adria was back at our house for an overnight and Clara's other front tooth fell out. haha. I think Clara was even surprised - we didn't realize it was so loose. I was chuckling at this picture of them because there isn't many teeth left between these two.

Second note to the tooth fairy.

Finally we had some nice weather yesterday after bitter cold for at least a week straight. Clara had been wanting to go back to our church near the back parking lot where they have pushed up massive hills of snow to do some sledding and Brynn wanted to go find a big hill somewhere near home, so this was a perfect spot.

Brynn baby-sat Clara last night while Dana and I went out for a little date night. We found ourselves at Scheels looking at cowboy boots for Dana. I'm surprised as you are. haha. I guess he had been wanting a nicer boot or something that he could wear in the winter as all he had was some summery loafer type shoes that weren't cutting it in the snow.

He did find a pair, which was neither of these that are shown above, but he's very happy with his purchase!

Then we stopped at Frank's for long island teas on our way home.

I'm glad Dana found some boots that he liked :) The toothless picture of Adria & Clara is truly great. I love Brynn's designs. The braces on the Popsicle - so cute. Is Dad wearing your hat in the sledding photos? Haha.

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Fourth of July 2025

We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family.  We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though. I made a new recipe for dessert: red, white and blue c...

Reagan Graduation + MDW + Tennis

This past weekend our oldest niece, Reagan, graduated high school. She will be attending UND for nursing in the fall. We're so proud of you and love you so much, Reagan!   Cousin Cayden had his Italian soda bar set up at the party which was super fun and a big hit. She opened a few gifts the night before her commencement. Reagan is the third generation to graduate from Harvey High as my mom and her dad, Chad also attended there. This was such a fun gift idea that Tessa put together from her and Chad. We got back home Sunday evening and between the four of us doing different things, spent most of Memorial Day outside. It was such beautiful weather. Brynn and I played tennis and Dana and Clara replaced some shrubs and did yardwork. The tennis season has wrapped up for Brynn now. She's sad to not be playing anymore, but still gets some court time between playing with friends and sometimes Clara and/or me. We're so proud of her and glad she played again this year. I had taken s...
