Last of February + Ben's Birthday Party

Dad and Clara made a new sledding path on Snow Mountain. It was pretty sweet.

Brynn made us the following video when she was bored last Friday night. Enjoy!

While she was filming her video, we were to the bitter end of the Game of Thrones series. It only took us about two years, I think. Dana had watched it originally when it aired up to season six, I think it was. He wanted me to watch it with him so badly he started back at the beginning and together we made it through all eight seasons. I think it was about two in the morning when we finished.

Clara's wonderful unicorn drawing.

More of Brynn's prayer journaling art.

We were so delighted to get a visit from Nanny Jenine last Sunday afternoon. Of course she brought a box of treats for us to enjoy.

Brynn made a Disney-themed countdown chain to note the number of days we have until our Disneyland vacation.

Finishing Clara's Mandalorian puzzle.

Our jackrabbit friends at my office...

They were nowhere to be found the day we had yet another snowstorm last week. Fargo Public kids had already used up all the snow days and make-up days for this year, so the girls both did virtual learning on Wednesday. Somehow I made it to the office and back home again. :-/

The window at Courts was completely covered by snow.

Clara has been helping Dad with this truck project and gets into the small spaces that he can't.

Yesterday we picked up Tessa's Rosa's order in Fessenden for Benjamin's birthday party. It smelled so good during our 30-minute drive to Hurdsfield.

We were so glad to be able to celebrate with Ben for his 11th's birthday! Happy birthday, Benjamin. We love you!

We a fun evening hot tubbing and visiting and then headed out early this morning to try and get ahead of another storm that never materialized anyhow. We stopped at Casey's in Carrington for breakfast burritos.

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Easter + April Birthdays

The girls had Thursday, Friday and Monday off from school for the Easter break. So, Dana and I took most of the same time off (work) to match.  Always reading. 💜 Hanging out with Brynn. 💗 Dana and I went on a Costco date. We tried our hand at homemade ravioli again. I think it went a bit more smoothly compared to last time. Hubert's sister Abby stopped by for a visit. We hadn't seen her in a long time and so it was fun to have her We celebrated Dana's birthday and kicked it off with some Sandy's donuts. I don't recall what was so funny. haha. Clara's card. Birthday King Clara dyed eggs. I baked a birthday cake for Dana, messed it up getting it out of the pans, and Clara somehow cobbled it together into a masterpiece. Dana chose Lucky 13's for dinner out. On Saturday we packed up to hit up Oliver's birthday party before we went on to Dead Lake for Easter. Oliver is 9! Fourth of July 2025

We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family.  We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though. I made a new recipe for dessert: red, white and blue c...
