March

Aside from my separate post on our California trip, here's what else we were up to in March...

Before we left (for CA), we had Clara's parent-teacher conferences. She's doing great!

Over St. Patrick's Day weekend, Clara got to stay at Grandpa and Grandma Froemming's.

She FaceTimed with Brynn.

I think it was while Dana and I were at a Force game with friends, Alex and Kailey.

Brynn and I tried to find some 80s skiing gear at Savers in preparation for 80s Day at Detroit Mountain.

Clara was out helping Dana blow snow and good thing, I guess, because legend has it she had to help him out when he got stuck. hehe.

Clara was excited to start lessons back up again at Foss.

After hours shenanigans.

Dana made us an chocolate chip oatmeal cookie in the air fryer.

Brynn has been busy in her graphic design class. She made this MSUM Dragons logo and it turned out amazingly.

It was a great day for skiing when the 80s ski day rolled around. Elise and Reagan were able to join us and Dana and Clara went tubing.

Dana and Clara got home before we did. When we returned, I found Dana taking a nap, but couldn't find Clara...until I saw the note she had left for Dad. :-)

Catch Phrase...

Elise and Brynn made their delightful apple snack cake recipe.

I love how much this girl loves to read!

Clara wrote a note to her teacher.

My boss showed me some serious love this week by having Crumbl delivered to our house when I was working from home one day. I didn't know who was at the door after the caller knocked. I waited to see if he or she would next ring the doorbell and sure enough, I heard the doorbell and ran over to Google home screen to see who it was on the camera and spied that pink box! :-D

Brynn is on her next round of Invisalign to straighten her teeth. At her check-up this week, they set her up with this device that hooks up to her phone with an app. It scans her mouth and sends the file to the orthodontist's office which will alleviate us needing to physically come into the office to check Brynn's progress. Technology, man! I was cracking up at this photo.

Someone let these two loose in Scheels. Unfortunately, they didn't come home with these bad boys. Shame.

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Fourth of July 2025

We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family.  We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though. I made a new recipe for dessert: red, white and blue c...

Reagan Graduation + MDW + Tennis

This past weekend our oldest niece, Reagan, graduated high school. She will be attending UND for nursing in the fall. We're so proud of you and love you so much, Reagan!   Cousin Cayden had his Italian soda bar set up at the party which was super fun and a big hit. She opened a few gifts the night before her commencement. Reagan is the third generation to graduate from Harvey High as my mom and her dad, Chad also attended there. This was such a fun gift idea that Tessa put together from her and Chad. We got back home Sunday evening and between the four of us doing different things, spent most of Memorial Day outside. It was such beautiful weather. Brynn and I played tennis and Dana and Clara replaced some shrubs and did yardwork. The tennis season has wrapped up for Brynn now. She's sad to not be playing anymore, but still gets some court time between playing with friends and sometimes Clara and/or me. We're so proud of her and glad she played again this year. I had taken s...
