August

I thought this picture was so cute of Brynn and Brooklyn when they said at Grandpa and Grandma Froemming's lake and wore Grandma's glasses.

Brynn and Hubert made it to the Barbie movie. They both said it was really good.

Clara was showing me her yarn tricks from a book that Izabell gave her for her birthday.

Neighbor cat, Lucky, came over for a visit with Clara one morning.

Amanda and I attempted to attend the Sawyer Brown concert, but got rained out and by the time they were supposed to take the stage, it was going to be close to 9:30-10:00, so we went to Scoop N Dough and then home instead. And then I took a hot shower to warm up.

Slow mornings will soon be coming to a halt once school starts on the 28th.

We went to our friends' house in Sartell, near St. Cloud for a long overdue weekend visit.

Yarn tricks with Jessica's mom.

The girls and I went to a nearby park that was along the Watab River.

We got to looking at Roger and Jessica's wedding albums.

Dana being a passenger princess on the way home.

Lilacs from our tree.

Brynn made some clay creations.

Clara was able to check out her classroom this past week and 'meet' her teacher. She actually already knew him as he taught the golf lessons that Clara took through Fargo Parks last summer. She was hoping for either him or another teacher, so she was excited. She got to pick her desk and learned that there are several of her school friends in this class too. She did a reading assessment while we were there too. It's going to be a great year!

Brooklyn's sister, Rae, brought Clara's birthday gift that she had for her over and they ended up going for a swim.

I was near Streeter, ND yesterday getting drone footage of some flax and buckwheat production for work.

Yesterday was Izabell's last day with us as MSUM starts classes on Monday. They watched a movie and all three girls when to the mall and Clara bought herself a Build A Bear (which we now have at our mall in Fargo!). You can see her bear in the corner of the pic.

For the past two years (or more), Brynn and I had wanted to do pics in a sunflower field. We finally had a chance to do it last night. We were a little late in getting out there as far as losing daylight, but we still got a lot of good ones - I had a beautiful model! It was really fun. In fact, a photographer and a couple were just leaving as we were arriving. Ha. I'll do a separate post of just sunflower pics.

Shoot that was too bad about Sawyer Brown! That would have been a good concert. We were just lamenting the passing of slow mornings around here too. The pictures of Roger and Dana are hilarious. I am also dying at Dana being a passenger princess (or prince I guess, haha). Great to see Clara enjoying her new pool and the warm days while they're still here! Best wishes to Izabell as she starts her new school year. That is so cool that Clara got a build-a-bear! I saw they were opening at West Acres. I'll have to have her tell me all about it.

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Fourth of July 2025

We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family.  We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though. I made a new recipe for dessert: red, white and blue c...

Reagan Graduation + MDW + Tennis

This past weekend our oldest niece, Reagan, graduated high school. She will be attending UND for nursing in the fall. We're so proud of you and love you so much, Reagan!   Cousin Cayden had his Italian soda bar set up at the party which was super fun and a big hit. She opened a few gifts the night before her commencement. Reagan is the third generation to graduate from Harvey High as my mom and her dad, Chad also attended there. This was such a fun gift idea that Tessa put together from her and Chad. We got back home Sunday evening and between the four of us doing different things, spent most of Memorial Day outside. It was such beautiful weather. Brynn and I played tennis and Dana and Clara replaced some shrubs and did yardwork. The tennis season has wrapped up for Brynn now. She's sad to not be playing anymore, but still gets some court time between playing with friends and sometimes Clara and/or me. We're so proud of her and glad she played again this year. I had taken s...
