Fall Things + Dana's Hunting Trip

Clara and I walked over to the high school for a boys' soccer game. They were pretty impressive to watch.

Elise and Clara had fun raking leaves and Grandpa and Grandma's lake. Well, I know Clara had a great time for sure.

I can't remember if I had posted that Dana did away with the garden and planted grass where it once was. So, Clara mowed that section. It was a perfect size for her to tackle. She might have found herself a summer job already.

An amazing double rainbow!

Thank you to those who donated for Clara's school walk-a-thon which took place last Monday. Dana and I were able to go watch and then joined in for some laps as well. Benny the Eagle was out there cheering the kids on too.

Dana was busy making monster cookies for his annual hunting trip up north with his Dad and family friends. He kindly left some behind for us...which are long since gone now. :-)

Grandma Holly came up while the guys were gone and took Clara shopping and the girls for lunch on Saturday.

We picked up Brynn's friends and Grandma, Clara and I all visited the pumpkin patch in the afternoon.

Clara didn't last long on her horse ride, but the big kids enjoyed it, I think.

It's not a trip out there if we aren't getting mini donuts. They're so good.

Clara and I head to head back home early as we had  my co-worker's wedding to attend. She was a wonderful date and we both had a great time. It was a beautiful wedding.

I thought for sure I wasn't going to get her off that dance floor, but finally the DJ started playing songs for the older generations and by that time, she started to get tired.

On Sunday Hubert helped Clara complete her Baby Yoda LEGO set that she had received from Nanny Jenine for her birthday. Dad and Clara had meticulously been working on it since she got it. So cool!

Brynn and Hubert painted their small pumpkins.

Some pics from Dana's trip that I stole off of Facebook. He said he had a great time.

Wow, go Clara on the mower! If she needs any more practice, you can send her our way :) Gorgeous double rainbow! Looks like Dana had quite the cookie production going there. Where was that John Deere tractor with the toys on it that Clara was sitting on? How cool! Really great pumpkin patch pictures!! That Lego Yoda is awesome.

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Easter + April Birthdays

The girls had Thursday, Friday and Monday off from school for the Easter break. So, Dana and I took most of the same time off (work) to match.  Always reading. 💜 Hanging out with Brynn. 💗 Dana and I went on a Costco date. We tried our hand at homemade ravioli again. I think it went a bit more smoothly compared to last time. Hubert's sister Abby stopped by for a visit. We hadn't seen her in a long time and so it was fun to have her We celebrated Dana's birthday and kicked it off with some Sandy's donuts. I don't recall what was so funny. haha. Clara's card. Birthday King Clara dyed eggs. I baked a birthday cake for Dana, messed it up getting it out of the pans, and Clara somehow cobbled it together into a masterpiece. Dana chose Lucky 13's for dinner out. On Saturday we packed up to hit up Oliver's birthday party before we went on to Dead Lake for Easter. Oliver is 9! Fourth of July 2025

We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family.  We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though. I made a new recipe for dessert: red, white and blue c...
