Last Christmases

Dana and I were both home in between Christmas and New Year's. It was so great to be home with the kids, spending time together and getting caught up on things around the house. The week just flew by and I don't know what we were so busy doing, but we must have been doing a lot; I never even took any pictures! We did a couple of movie nights, played with new Christmas toys, cleaned out and reorganized the girls' rooms and caught up on errands, etc.

Thursday we headed to Fergus to do our Christmas celebration with Dana's side.

Crazy Clara!

Thanks for all the gifts, Grandpa & Grandma!

Brynn got her very own sewing machine!  Very exciting. She has really gotten into sewing and between the kit she received from my parents and this machine from Dana's parents, along with more accessories from Auntie and Uncle, she is set! I should have gotten a picture of it, but right away she and Grandma got busy making a pillow and blanket for Brynn's new doll.

We also celebrated Uncle John's birthday:

We brought our four-wheeler and we were all outside having some fun in the snow, riding and sledding.

Brynn & Grandma playing dominoes

It's kind of become a Christmas tradition now to go bowling.

Afterward we decided to check out a new pizza place in town....and ordered an exorbitant amount of pizza for the number of people we had. It was so good, though!

On Sunday we had the extended Froemming family Christmas.

Brynn was so disappointed that we had left some of our gifts at Auntie Tessa and Uncle Chad's house, so she wasn't able to play with some of her things last week when we were home. Yesterday when she got off the bus from school, she got right to her crystal making. (Grandpa and Grandma Dietz were kind enough to drop off our stuff on their way to the lake this past weekend. Thanks again!)

Mad scientist!

Hopefully they turn out!
Clara likes to lie on the floor and feverishly scribble. :-)

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Fourth of July 2025

We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family.  We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though. I made a new recipe for dessert: red, white and blue c...

Reagan Graduation + MDW + Tennis

This past weekend our oldest niece, Reagan, graduated high school. She will be attending UND for nursing in the fall. We're so proud of you and love you so much, Reagan!   Cousin Cayden had his Italian soda bar set up at the party which was super fun and a big hit. She opened a few gifts the night before her commencement. Reagan is the third generation to graduate from Harvey High as my mom and her dad, Chad also attended there. This was such a fun gift idea that Tessa put together from her and Chad. We got back home Sunday evening and between the four of us doing different things, spent most of Memorial Day outside. It was such beautiful weather. Brynn and I played tennis and Dana and Clara replaced some shrubs and did yardwork. The tennis season has wrapped up for Brynn now. She's sad to not be playing anymore, but still gets some court time between playing with friends and sometimes Clara and/or me. We're so proud of her and glad she played again this year. I had taken s...
