Bouncin' Bash

Last weekend our good friends from St. Cloud came to visit. It wasn't overly warm outside, but of course that didn't stop the kids. They had fun on the swings and threw around the football a lot. We realized Brynn has a good arm on her for throwing the old pig skin! I think the Easter Bunny might be bringing her a football of her own.

Man down! Dana was not conditioned for football practice.

It had been a couple of years since we hit up the Bouncin' Bash. It was great timing with having friends to go with.

Someone can't hang and fell asleep on the way home. Coincidentally I brought just her home so she could nap and sure enough, she woke up as I was getting her out of the car and she wouldn't go back to sleep.

Don't mind her unkempt hair. She was in need of a bath! Our friend Roger is into photography as well and so he and I were monkeying around with our cameras Saturday afternoon and Clara was the only willing subject...

In fact, she wanted to be on the other side of the lens as well:

Camera phone?

Poor lil Clara is under the weather again with what seems to be a flu bug this time. She took a nap for 2 hours and 20 minutes at daycare on Monday! I was so excited that she napped so well....until I got her out to the car and she threw up all over herself and me. Twice. :-( Grandpa and Grandma Froemming are up in Fargo for an appointment today anyway, so thankfully they were able to come last night and stay with her today. She was pretty perky yesterday, but now today looked kind of peaked again. She is napping now and hopefully will be able to rest up good this afternoon. And hopefully feeling better for Easter!

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Easter + April Birthdays

The girls had Thursday, Friday and Monday off from school for the Easter break. So, Dana and I took most of the same time off (work) to match.  Always reading. 💜 Hanging out with Brynn. 💗 Dana and I went on a Costco date. We tried our hand at homemade ravioli again. I think it went a bit more smoothly compared to last time. Hubert's sister Abby stopped by for a visit. We hadn't seen her in a long time and so it was fun to have her We celebrated Dana's birthday and kicked it off with some Sandy's donuts. I don't recall what was so funny. haha. Clara's card. Birthday King Clara dyed eggs. I baked a birthday cake for Dana, messed it up getting it out of the pans, and Clara somehow cobbled it together into a masterpiece. Dana chose Lucky 13's for dinner out. On Saturday we packed up to hit up Oliver's birthday party before we went on to Dead Lake for Easter. Oliver is 9! Fourth of July 2025

We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family.  We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though. I made a new recipe for dessert: red, white and blue c...
