Oliver's Baptism, Illness and Friends

Last weekend we stayed at Weckerlys' for baby Oliver's dedication. Clara was in full mother mode with him and kept looking confused and frustrated when I didn't just hand him over to her when she held out her arms. He is very cute and snuggly!

Brynn had fun playing with the cousins, of course.

Sharing with Daddy

The girls have gotten into playing with Play-doh while I'm making supper lately.

Brynn likes to make Play-doh clothing creations for her Barbie dolls. I'm always so impressed with her designs!

Oops! Wardrobe malfunction!

As much as Brynn hates having someone brush her hair or do anything to it, Clara will ask to have her hair brushed and loves this play hair styling set. She asked Daddy to curl her hair after supper one night.

She was not impressed with how dirty her hands got in the sandbox.

It's been really nice outside this week, so Brynn and her friend Belle were able to play in the yard most nights this week.

Poor Clara came down with a nasty cold including ear infection this week. She was looking pretty tough yesterday (which is when this pic was taken), but after a much-needed good night's sleep last night, she was doing much better today.

Cute pics of Brynn & Belle. Brynn is very creative with her Play Doh! I would never have thought to make Barbie outfits. Bare Barbie buns, yikes! Sweet picture of Dana curling Clara's hair :) So glad you guys could be here for Oliver's dedication and so happy to have you as his godparents.

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Easter + April Birthdays

The girls had Thursday, Friday and Monday off from school for the Easter break. So, Dana and I took most of the same time off (work) to match.  Always reading. 💜 Hanging out with Brynn. 💗 Dana and I went on a Costco date. We tried our hand at homemade ravioli again. I think it went a bit more smoothly compared to last time. Hubert's sister Abby stopped by for a visit. We hadn't seen her in a long time and so it was fun to have her We celebrated Dana's birthday and kicked it off with some Sandy's donuts. I don't recall what was so funny. haha. Clara's card. Birthday King Clara dyed eggs. I baked a birthday cake for Dana, messed it up getting it out of the pans, and Clara somehow cobbled it together into a masterpiece. Dana chose Lucky 13's for dinner out. On Saturday we packed up to hit up Oliver's birthday party before we went on to Dead Lake for Easter. Oliver is 9! Fourth of July 2025

We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family.  We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though. I made a new recipe for dessert: red, white and blue c...
