Shootin', Yoga, Firemen's Pancake Feed

This past weekend we were at Grandpa and Grandma Froemming's farm to celebrate Dana's and my birthdays and to spend some time shooting guns and riding four-wheeler.  Brynn drove me around the field on Grandpa's four-wheeler and turned out to be a darn good driver. She got to shoot her BB gun and tried out the new .22 that Daddy bought for the girls.  Brynn wanted auntie to teach her some yoga moves... Sunday morning Grandpa and Grandma took Clara to church while Brynn and Daddy slept in. Brynn didn't find much she wanted to watch on TV, so she got out her book. After church we met up with Grandpa, Grandma and Clara at the firemen's pancake feed at the fire hall in Fergus. They had delicious pancakes, sausage and eggs. The girls even got to get inside the fire truck. And a bouncy house!

Another Tooth, Swimming, Snow

Brynn and Clara dancing together on Sunday. I don't know if you can make it out on the video, but Brynn tells Clara, 'oh my sweetie pie. I love you.' :-) Clara hanging around... The girls both had dentist appointments on Monday. Clara did better than last time; she only cried for the first half. :-) She was happy as a clam once she was done and got to hang her fish on the net to celebrate being cavity-free. Unfortunately Brynn has a cavity that she'll need to get filled. She was pretty disappointed.  I don't recall if I had shared that Brynn was excited to pass level two in swimming lessons last session. She was ready to move on to level three and is loving it. She started using goggles now and that has really increased her confidence in the water. Her class even took a try going off the diving board today. I was so proud of her. She seemed kind of apprehensive at first, but she followed through and said it was so much fun and it

Sick & Silly Clara, Brynn's Teeth Update & School Carnival

While we were waiting for that loose tooth of Brynn's to come out, she surprised us one day when she came home from school that a neighboring tooth had fallen out that day instead! (This was right before Easter.) So, the wait was still on for that original stubborn loose one. That one finally did come out this week now. She gets a little down from time to time because she doesn't like how she looks missing so many teeth, but we try to explain to her that all kids her age have been or are currently in the same situation. Growing up is hard! Then a couple of days after that second one fell out she said she knocked her knee against the other remaining front tooth (which was already loose) and that incident loosened it even further. She said it wasn't quite ready to come out yet, though.  On Daddy's birthday (Tuesday) Clara came home from daycare in a bit of a heap. She was running a low-grade fever and complained of her head and stomach hurting. The next morning sh

Happy birthday, Daddy!

Dana's birthday was this past Tuesday. I dug out some old photos of him to embarrass him, I mean honor him, a bit on Facebook. :-) He was so stinkin' cute. I commented on Facebook that I had always wished I could just reach through the photos and give his baby self a squeeze. But, as you can see from these pictures, I can pretty much do that with Clara since she is so much his mini-me! Love the tongue out in this one. Haha. Brynn had just gotten a new book from school book order, so she was pretty into that and had a hard time breaking away from it to help us celebrate Daddy's birthday. Ha. Clara made Dad a card at daycare. Happy birthday, Daddy! We love you!

Easter 2017 & Birthdays

Headed out for a bike ride last Thursday evening. I worked the morning on Friday and then we headed back home for Easter and to celebrate Oliver's birthday after Clara woke from her nap in the afternoon. But first we had an Easter breakfast potluck at my office. Tracy had the griddle going before 8:30 making fresh pancakes. There was so much good food. Tessa got a fire going Friday evening for some peeps s'mores. Chad had gotten a whole hog to roast for Easter dinner. The guys got it going around noon on Saturday. It took longer than they had anticipated to finish cooking so Chad and Dana didn't get to bed until 3:30 am Saturday night...or Sunday morning, however you look at it. I forgot to ask if they ran into the Easter bunny being up that late. The pork turned out delicious, though. Photo by Chad Meanwhile, Tessa and I decorated eggs with the kids inside. Photo by Tessa Saturday afternoon we celebrated Oliver's first birthday.
