Shennanigans

Last week Brynn's class attended a concert at Concordia College.

Super Clara!

Clara will often get her stuffed animals or dolls and manipulate their hands to do things. Here she was having Roger help clean up her toys. Cracks me up. And tonight in the bath we had to have Barbie help rinse her hair.

Saturday morning Dad had been planning to go to the shooting range with one of his friends and ended up inviting Brynn to tag along as well. Friday they made a target holder together. Pretty fancy! Brynn showed me her target when she came back and she had done pretty well with the BB gun.

Meanwhile Clara and I stayed home and she made me this fantastic-looking ice cream cone.

In the afternoon our friends Amanda and Adria came over to play. The girls are sillier than ever together. It was so funny.

Brynn had gotten out her Maleficent costume from Halloween last year, so the girls had to try the horns on too.

Why, yes, that is our child trying to pull the horns off of her friend. :-/

Goodbyes are so hard! Ha. This was so cute. They kept trying to give kisses through the door. Clara just had her undies on and they were working their way in, so I added this black box over these next few pics. :-)

Brynn and one of her Sunday School classmates hanging up their project.

Brynn still has not lost that tooth yet! Stay tuned; it's looser by the day!

Haha, Clara & Adria are so cute together. BFFs for sure. Can't wait to hear about that tooth, Brynn!

Oh man, that was so fun visiting, and watching the gruesome twosome in action. Brynn was an exceptional sport throughout the festivities ; )

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Fourth of July 2025

We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family.  We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though. I made a new recipe for dessert: red, white and blue c...

Reagan Graduation + MDW + Tennis

This past weekend our oldest niece, Reagan, graduated high school. She will be attending UND for nursing in the fall. We're so proud of you and love you so much, Reagan!   Cousin Cayden had his Italian soda bar set up at the party which was super fun and a big hit. She opened a few gifts the night before her commencement. Reagan is the third generation to graduate from Harvey High as my mom and her dad, Chad also attended there. This was such a fun gift idea that Tessa put together from her and Chad. We got back home Sunday evening and between the four of us doing different things, spent most of Memorial Day outside. It was such beautiful weather. Brynn and I played tennis and Dana and Clara replaced some shrubs and did yardwork. The tennis season has wrapped up for Brynn now. She's sad to not be playing anymore, but still gets some court time between playing with friends and sometimes Clara and/or me. We're so proud of her and glad she played again this year. I had taken s...
