Family & Pre-Easter

Some photos from Brightwheel (Hope Church app):

Choo-choo Train

This past weekend my aunt and uncle Shelly and Les came up from SD to visit family in our area. They stayed at a hotel with a pool and invited us over so the girls could swim throughout the weekend. They had so much fun swimming and getting spoiled. :) It was great to hang out with Shelly and Les.

Monkeys!
Saturday we had our cousin Marcie and her husband over with Shel and Les. It was fun listening to old Fessenden stories.

I wish I would have gotten a picture of these two hooligans...Brynn had a friend over to play on Saturday and it was super nice out. Sun, warm temps and no wind. It was perfect. Brynn and Vanessa thought it was so nice they put on swimsuits and were squirting each other with water outside. I was pretty skeptical myself, until I went out there and it actually was almost hot. Then Sunday rolled around and ruined it all. Ha.

My love, Brynnie. You can't see it in this pic, but that tooth is still in there and now it has a wiggly friend next to it.

Right before Clara woke up from her nap on Sunday Brynn filled a bunch of Easter eggs and hid them for Clara to find. It was so cute. They must have been having a dry run for this coming Sunday. ;-)

Clara was supposed to close her eyes while Brynn hid another round of eggs.

hehe...

Playing with the Old Maid cards after school on Monday.

Counting chocolate chips. Oh Clara, she always makes me laugh and has a nonchalant answer for everything. It is a bit long, but my fav part of the video is in the middle when she explains that she needs to eat the chocolate ships due to lack of space on the counter.

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Fourth of July 2025

We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family.  We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though. I made a new recipe for dessert: red, white and blue c...

Reagan Graduation + MDW + Tennis

This past weekend our oldest niece, Reagan, graduated high school. She will be attending UND for nursing in the fall. We're so proud of you and love you so much, Reagan!   Cousin Cayden had his Italian soda bar set up at the party which was super fun and a big hit. She opened a few gifts the night before her commencement. Reagan is the third generation to graduate from Harvey High as my mom and her dad, Chad also attended there. This was such a fun gift idea that Tessa put together from her and Chad. We got back home Sunday evening and between the four of us doing different things, spent most of Memorial Day outside. It was such beautiful weather. Brynn and I played tennis and Dana and Clara replaced some shrubs and did yardwork. The tennis season has wrapped up for Brynn now. She's sad to not be playing anymore, but still gets some court time between playing with friends and sometimes Clara and/or me. We're so proud of her and glad she played again this year. I had taken s...
