Halloween 2024

Happy Halloween!

Clara was able to bring and wear her costume in her classroom. I just chuckled when I opened up this pic from her teacher. I love it. Lots of great costumes.

Heading into my office for trick-or-treating.

Soulja Boy drove separately and met us there. :-)

I was so happy to get pics of them together.

Clara took off for Barb's as she was waiting for Clara to come over.

We had some dinner and then headed out to make our rounds.

So many people got a kick out of Clara's costume. It was pretty funny watching her lumber around the neighborhoods. At times, she'd just take off on a run. Haha.

It was a chilly, but nice and calm so we were thankful for that, but Clara still needed to warm up a bit with some hot chocolate when we got home.

I was so tickled to have some trick-or-treaters stop by! We NEVER get anyone stopping at our house and I get so bummed, but we still always have our lights on. Clara's friends, Cora and Violet, came so that was fun for Clara.

My candy stash donated by Clara to me. :-)

Brynn and Hubert took Abigail and their family friend out and they all trick-or-treated together. Brynn said they got lots of candy.

I cozied up and tried to decide which spooky movie I wanted to watch. I landed on the original Beetlejuice since I had just watched the newer one. Classic!

We decided to keep the fun going for one more night! Clara invited some of her friends over for a little get-together Friday night.

Preparations...

It worked out so well just to have them go wild out in the garage. They played bingo, bobbed for apples, did a mummy wrap contest and ended the night with a dance party. they all seemed to have a fun time. Not many of my photos turned out the best as we had turned most of the lights off out in the garage.

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Easter + April Birthdays

The girls had Thursday, Friday and Monday off from school for the Easter break. So, Dana and I took most of the same time off (work) to match.  Always reading. 💜 Hanging out with Brynn. 💗 Dana and I went on a Costco date. We tried our hand at homemade ravioli again. I think it went a bit more smoothly compared to last time. Hubert's sister Abby stopped by for a visit. We hadn't seen her in a long time and so it was fun to have her We celebrated Dana's birthday and kicked it off with some Sandy's donuts. I don't recall what was so funny. haha. Clara's card. Birthday King Clara dyed eggs. I baked a birthday cake for Dana, messed it up getting it out of the pans, and Clara somehow cobbled it together into a masterpiece. Dana chose Lucky 13's for dinner out. On Saturday we packed up to hit up Oliver's birthday party before we went on to Dead Lake for Easter. Oliver is 9! Fourth of July 2025

We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family.  We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though. I made a new recipe for dessert: red, white and blue c...
