Fargo Air Museum + Goodbye, Ryann

The girls don't have many chores to concern themselves with over here, but one job they are in charge of is unloading the dishwasher. Clara makes the most of it by turning on her tunes which are housed in my fanny pack. Haha. Dana rustled up an old iPod that we had around here for her.

Clara washed up and polished all the gem stones from the Dig It Up gem set she received for her birthday. It has a mat with it that you can match up the stones to the photos and it tells a bit about them.

The girls were thinking of what they wanted to do one afternoon this week, so Brynn called the air museum to make sure they were open and to see what their mask policy was, etc. I told her later that I was proud of her that she called and found out the info herself and how that type of thing is good to learn how to do herself. She seemed puzzled, like it was no big deal, and then said she learned how to do that from listening to me..."I just talked in a high-pitched professional voice like you do, Mom." haha. Thanks?

I had asked Brynn to take pics while they were there and she definitely delivered. They had a fun time. I have been there a few times before for different things and hadn't realized there are actually two hangars, so more to it than I had thought.

Brynn kept saying she liked these 'outfits.' AKA uniforms. :-)

It definitely feels like fall is right around the corner when I go for a morning walk. Can you spy the deer on the bottom right?

Yesterday was Ryann, our nanny's, last day with us. It was very helpful to have an extra hand this summer and especially to take the girls to their activities and to do fun things like air museum and going to the pool, library and Cherry Berry. ;-)

Dad found us girls outside on the deck last night doing our nails.

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Easter + April Birthdays

The girls had Thursday, Friday and Monday off from school for the Easter break. So, Dana and I took most of the same time off (work) to match.  Always reading. 💜 Hanging out with Brynn. 💗 Dana and I went on a Costco date. We tried our hand at homemade ravioli again. I think it went a bit more smoothly compared to last time. Hubert's sister Abby stopped by for a visit. We hadn't seen her in a long time and so it was fun to have her We celebrated Dana's birthday and kicked it off with some Sandy's donuts. I don't recall what was so funny. haha. Clara's card. Birthday King Clara dyed eggs. I baked a birthday cake for Dana, messed it up getting it out of the pans, and Clara somehow cobbled it together into a masterpiece. Dana chose Lucky 13's for dinner out. On Saturday we packed up to hit up Oliver's birthday party before we went on to Dead Lake for Easter. Oliver is 9! Fourth of July 2025

We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family.  We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though. I made a new recipe for dessert: red, white and blue c...
